It was around midday and Deckard longhorn slowly walked into the library, walking just as the old expression goes: "As if he owned the place". Deckard was a 3rd year slytherin boy who loved to pick a fight with anyone, especially from members of gryffindor. He hated just about everyone, and just about was right too, He didn't think most of the Hufflepuffs should have even been allowed to step in the building, He loathed Gryffindors not only because of house rivalry but because he truly thought the people in their were completely ignorant, And he hated most of the people from his own house as well as ravenclaw because of their superior intelligence.
Those he did like however comprised of a few peers from his own house and almost every female from Ravenclaw. His dad was not lying when he had told deckard that most of the beautiful women in the school belonged to the house of Ravenclaw. He was only a 3rd year and dating wasn't high on his priority's but Boy did he love the women. His biggest weakness this year had been going by the Ravenclaw table at meal times. Smart very Attractive women only a few feet from him and yet most of them thought he was nothing but a pompous prick.
He regained his surroundings and found himself in the spell book section of the library, The only books he enjoyed reading. As he stood there pretending to look at the books he wondered what mischief he may find himself into. a grin formed and it left him there thinking......

Kaliyah waved her wand with a swish and flick as she recited the correct incantation to cause a book she had been looking for, from the top shelf to float gracefully into her arms. With a smile she replaced her wand within its home in the inner pocket of her black and blue robes and ran her fingers over the cover of the ancient book. It shook within her grasp as though possessed and Kali adjusted her hold on it, clutching it firmly to her chest.
It was only her first week at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry but she had found the place to be immensly interesting. Her mother had decided to transfer her after hearing the continuous stream of good news from other parents of students that attended and she had to admit that their words lived up to the expectations. The school was marvelous; grand and beautiful yet mysterious and mystifying.
Kali had been more than happy to find herself placed in Ravenclaw and had instantly set out to find the library. She loved it there, surrounded by books and knowledge that would send her mind reeling with information. Kaliyah let her eyes scan the shelf in front of her, eyes high on the shelves towering above and skirted to the side, trying to find another book on Transfiguration. It was now her favourite subject. Quite intent upon finding a suitiable book, Kali found herself colliding with something solid and jumped suddenly, backing away in the opposite direction.
"Oh..." she exclaimed as she realised it was another student. Her face darkened with sudden hesitation and nerves as she realised that the student donned robes of green and silver.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going," she explained to the Slytherin boy she had just bumped into.

The smirk from his face disapeared as some stupid book loving student tried to plow him down. He was more startled than anything else. As the student now became clear it none other than a Ravenclaw female, about the same age as him. Was this Deckards luckiest day or was this just another one of those random things that happen and thus the day would be back to normal. It confused him and he didn't care to be confused. His anger arose slightly because she was quick and cold with him trying to explain off why she just tried to knock him down.
Could he be angry at her? if he wasn't than he would be a hipocrite to his own nature. but if he was it may just turn out to be the excitement he was looking for. Although the third alternative had popped up into his head. maybe there was a way he could do both. He thought it over, he just may have a chance at not only getting the excitment he wanted but a date with the beautiful girl in front of him.
But how could he do it? he pondered a bit, and alas he had his plan.
"No your not sorry, if you were you would have meant it. There are two kinds of people i cant stand snobby intelegent people who say sorry thinking everyone is just too stupid to realize they arent actually sorry, and then those who are forced to say sorry because its the only polite thing to do even though they truley dont mean any of it" His voice started off loud for the library and then became a roar of outrage.
Deckard knew better than anyone that argueing in the library was a 1 day suspension from the library and a 1 hour detention for both parties. Thus making him glad when he had heard maddam pince coming their way. The grin returned.....

Kaliyah was more than startled by his response, though she should have seen it coming. Could you expect anything less from a Slytherin? No doubt that being argumentative and controlling was the only thing they were good at, hense their infamous reputation for being rude and ignorant. Kali could feel the colour rising to her soft brown cheeks creating an almost invisiable hint of rouge as a sudden embarrassment and slight anger became her. She felt quite shamed to be shouted at for not doing anything in the Library.
"How dare you," she exclaimed in a harsh whisper as she glanced around hesitantly for the Librarian. Kaliyah hoped that the old woman was somewhere near the back of the library scaulding a couple for kissing behind the shelves. She glared at the boy before her, though he was taller and clenched her fists as her violet eyes bore into his.
"I apologised not only because it was polite and curtious to do so seeing as I bumped into you, but also because I am sorry. Unlike you ignorant Slytherins, I don't go around purposly trying to knock people over or begin arguments on such an insignificant matter. And besides... what's wrong with apologising out of curtesy? Just because you and your house don't know about manners and class, though you all claim to come from noble, pure blood houses, doesn't mean that we others can't express such mannerisms."
Her voice had risen throughout the speech as her anger had taken a hold her her. The last word rang in the air around her as it rebounded off the walls and echoed back into her ears. Kali bit her lower lip firmly as she heard the shrill sound of her own voice before casting glances from side to side nervously. She could clearly hear the firm footsteps and exasperated breaths of the stern librarian and knew she was in trouble.

Deckard continued to smile. He even chuckled a bit, He liked this girl, Quick to anger and quick to act, He had manners really he did. But what she did not know was who he was. Deckard was the biggest jokester in his house. He was the one who would get into trouble simply for the laughs. He didnt actually mean any harm to anyone unless that person dared to draw their wand. But all in all Deckard was someone who instead of having a simple conversation with someone would get them into trouble and laugh about it. Than get to know them.
His motto was always "Don't trust anyone who wouldn't be willing to go through the fire with you" he wasn't actually as arrogant and stuck up as most in his house. If it werent for his joking around no one in his house would give him the time of day nor any other house for that matter. As Maddam Pince rounded the corner to approach them Deckard whispered to her
"You clearly don't know who i am but you will soon learn" the way his voice carried it would make one think he was joking around and not threatening.

Kaliyah's eyebrows knitted together as his statemtnet registered with her. It didn't sound like a threat but more like a joke. She felt quite confused and far from impressed as she spotted the Librarian standing before her with a look of complete disgust settled on her face. Kali felt her anger subside faster than a cheetah's heartbeat. It was soon replaced by sheer embarressment at Madame Pince began to scauld them for shouting.
"Sorry, Madame Pince..." Kali tried to say whenever the woman took a breath from shouting about other students and their needs, thinking about the people that had to study and the sanctuary of the Library and it's silent solitude. Kali wanted to elbow the Slytherin hard in the guts for getting them into trouble, but she daren't start anything with him. She didn't really know anyone outside of the friends she had made within her house so who was she to know who this boy was and what he was capable of. She had a clear idea that she would be able to hex him into oblivion, but then as a Ravenclaw, Kali was always sure to analyise a situation before rushing into it. She could have invented the statement, 'think before you act'... although that usually applied when she was level headed and not angry. Sometimes the anger just took over as it had done moments before.
She heard Madame Pince mention something about a detention and hoped to Merlin that she wouldn't enforce it. A detention during her first week? Her parents would flip!

Deckard could do one of two things at this point, He could claim that she started it thus making sure the punishment would be carried out or he could take the fall and have them just suspended from the library for the remainder of the day. Should he call it quits? now? after all he had done thus far. He looked at her and asked himself. Is she worth not doing this to? The question bacame extremely difficult to handle. She was very pretty and for the first time in ages Deckard was kind of smitten.
He couldn't act out like a child no he must remain calm and keep composure, of course he would end this but it would not be the last he would see of this very pretty girl. He turned toward madame pince and told her she bumped into him and that he became a little over angered and began the argument. After apologizing he had managed to get the two out of clear danger. They were both given stern warnings which was a rare thing for the old librarian to do.
Deckard smiled once more at the girl and turned heel and walked off. He had to think he had to plan..........

Kali was stuck for words as she watched the strange boy turn on his heels to stalk toward the exit. After clearly starting arguments and seeming quite unsorry for his actions he had suddenly and quite unexpectedly turned a one-eighty and had apologised to the librarian. Kali was confused.
Madame Pince gave her a stern look and too turned to leave her standing alone grasping tightly at the book in her arms. She gently bit her lower lip as her need to be curtious arose. She had a strong sense to chase after the rude Slytherin and thank him for taking the blame for beginning the argument in the first place. Although she had shouted at him for not doing so, he had done the right thing and yet part of her wanted to leave well enough alone and pray that she never saw him again. The castle was big enough to avoid certain people... wasn't it?
"d**n common curtisy," she whispered harshly to herself as she stamped her foot as a stubborn brat would once she knew that she couldn't win an argument. Groaning quickly, Kali ran after the Slytherin.
"Hey... Slytherin, wait please..." she called after him as loudly as she dared which, considering she just got into trouble for shouting, was barely louder than a harsh whisper. She hoped that he would stop before he exited the Library. If he actually parted through the doors then she would leave him be and realise it just wan't meant to be.

Deckard heard her calling after him, Thus meaning everything was going according to plan, He was a prankster but for some reason he was drawn to her, Maybe just maybe she was one of the few who he might call a friend or maybe even.... His thoughts trailed off as he waited for her to catch up. He could feel her eyes on the back of his head, Should he attempt anymore stunts or should he just play this one cool?
He was always busy thinking, but only of things important to him, and as of a few moments ago his mind was now completly on her.He turned around to face her as she approached and waited for her response before saying a single word.It was how he did things....

Kali stopped as he turned to face her. In all honesty she hadn't actually expected him to turn and stop. She had thought he, being a proud Slytherin would leave and let it be. She nibbled gently on her lower lip as she took another step toward him and sighed heavily before glancing around. Kaliyah felt as though the whole library had their eyes on her, drilling holes through her body, but as her eyes briefly scanned the room around her she found that everyone was too immersed within their own books or conversations to actually notice that she stood before the Library doors with a boy robed in Green and silver.
Kali returned her attention to the boy before her and nibbled her lips again as she took a deep breath, preparing herself. Sometimes she had to admit that doing the right thing sometimes got very tedius.
"Look... I just wanted to say thank you for what you did back there was very ... just, thanks for admitting to what you did. I didn't expect it but I'm glad you did."
There... she did it. Kali even managed a genuine smile and a soft shrug.
